The fifth element of health: Attitude

My wife (Lynn) and I never had much success with weight loss. When we did try we would not lose any weight, our bodies stayed the same. Did we do it wrong? No not really. Two weeks ago my wife read a book on changing what you do for breakfast. There was a section that was totally weird. It said when you finish your morning smoothie do a dance and pat your self on the back. Positive feedback! When we do anything positive it sends a message to our brain and it makes the brain want to do it again.

When we first did the little dance it felt totally bizarre, weird, and funky.  I just drank this concoction and I am dancing for joy?  Well guess what, my wife has lost 9 pounds in a week and her waist is 3 inches smaller. She attributes her success to the dance. We really didn’t change our diet just started the day with a smoothie. That little celebration has made all the difference. So have a good attitude, do a little dance, and pat yourself on the back. It will amplify your results.

What is the difference between Chilin and Nerquilizer
chill and nerq
We get asked this question quite often. In fact Dr. James will often have clients take both, so what is the difference?

Nerquilizer is a nerve tonic to help feed and nourish the entire nervous system; including the brain, nerves, and spinal column. Nerquilizer will help communication between nerves to function correctly. Nerquilizer will soothe the nerves when they are stressed and over worked.

Chillin helps with the nervous system also however there is one big difference lithium. Now you may have heard some horrible things about the drug “Lithium”. There is a night and day difference between the two kinds of Lithium. The drug Lithium is a chemically created “copy” of the mineral lithium. As with many chemical drugs there are many side effects and you should be cautious of those side effects. The lithium in Chillin is the naturally occurring mineral just like other minerals like calcium and magnesium. In fact the mineral lithium was once used as a flavor enhancer like salt (lithium is actually in sea salt). After all that why would you want to take Chillin? The lithium in Chillin is essential to proper brain function. Many degenerative brain diseases like Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease show a marked improvement when a patient takes lithium. Some studies even show that people who suffer from these diseases are deficient in lithium. That is not the only benefit of Chillin, because it helps the brain function properly it protects against damage to the brain as well as helps with other issues of the brain like depression, stress headaches, eating disorders and the list goes on.

Spaghetti (squash)

We had our WoW seminar a couple of weeks ago. Every seminar the people who attend rave about the spaghetti squash. Most people say they have never ate it and love it!  Spaghetti squash is coming into season. Pick some up and make dinner amazing.

1 Spaghetti Squash, cut in half, remove seeds
2 tablespoons Butter
2 teaspoons Basil
Sea Salt, to taste

Put 1/2 the butter and basil on each squash half; salt to taste. Cover with tin foil (lined with enough oiled parchment paper so squash does not come in contact with aluminum foil) place on pan, cut side up. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) for 45 minutes. Squash is done when you can poke a fork in the squash next to the shell and it pulls away easily. Scoop squash out of shell gently, and use forks to separate like spaghetti noodles. If overcooked it will not separate like spaghetti, but still tastes great. Serve like spaghetti with Italian spaghetti sauce.
